The children and young people in our church family make up an important part of who we are, and their ages range from very small to young adults. Below you will find out all the things that are going on with our young people.
First Steps

First Steps is for our youngest, pre-school children and their parents and carers. We run the group with Otford Methodist Church and we meet in their church hall fortnightly on a Wednesday between 9am – 11:30am.
Expect, games, music, crafts and a bible story time for the children, refreshments and a chance to chat for the adults.
For more details please contact First Steps leader, Najen, via the church office using our contact form.
Sunday Club
Sunday Club is our “Children’s Church” and happens at the same time as the adults are learning in the service next door. We welcome children of any age who are happy to come to us, and if it helps a parent/carer can come too. We follow a programme with lots of age-appropriate bible activities, fun games, craft and a lot of laughter.
For more details please contact Sunday Club leader, Susanne, via the church office using our contact form.

EPIC
EPIC is the group for young people in school years 5-8. They meet on the 2nd Saturday every month, from 6-8pm. The evening is a mixture of games, a meal, craft and laughter and talking about Jesus.
In case you were wondering the adults think EPIC stands for Every Person in Christ, but we know it stands for Eating Pizza in Church and yes, we do eat Pizza – local pizzerias love delivering!

Messy Church
Messy Church happens twice per term on a Sunday afternoon, 3-5pm, and is for primary aged children. We have an hour of craft activities based around a bible theme with varying levels of messiness. We then go into church for a short and very informal act of worship and finish with an afternoon tea. Parents attend with their children and we have found it an excellent opportunity to welcome families into the church in a relaxed atmosphere.

YPF
YPF is our church youth group for young people in school years 9 and above. We meet
every Sunday evening in term time from 6.30pm – 8pm and have regular attendees from a wide variety of local secondary schools, who use it as a great opportunity to meet and catch up. Activities are varied, as are questions and discussions. You could be playing rounders, losing in a quiz, doing crazy craft activities, cooking (and eating) or anything else you can suggest to the leaders. We also really enjoy welcoming our students when they come home from college and are so pleased that they want to come and see us.

Youth Weekend
Youth Weekend – Every year in July we take our children and young people away for a weekend. The teaching and activities are led by some of our youth leaders, and several of our young adults also come to serve, lead sessions and enjoy the fun. Further details will be posted here nearer the time.
Extra Opportunities
In addition, we have some very musical young people who are part of our worship group and bell ringers. Some of our young people are part of our AV team, and others get involved with our churchyard working parties.
We support young people who are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh awards.
If you would like to get involved then please contact the church office using our contact form.
